VOTE: The Musical is a 60-minute musical theatre show by VOTE Theatre Company, a student and youth company performing at The Studio. The story follows three middle-class women, centring on fictional Mary Abbott, as they discover the Suffragette movement. Set around the Hyde Park rally of 1908, it charts Mary's arrest, prison abuse and eventual release, leading to electoral equality. Created by Phoebe Perry, the show explores the darker sides of the Suffragette movement through song and storytelling. A content warning applies for scenes of sexual violence. Suitable for ages 12 and over.
