About Hailey Park
Vengeance is Mine: Clytemnestra is a solo drama by Hailey Park, performed at The Snug at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. One of the most famous trials in the afterlife is coming to an end. Clytemnestra, Queen of Mycenae, offers her final defence on why she had to kill Agamemnon. She was a woman who killed her husband, an adulteress and evil — but also an enraged mother, a woman who suffered and a queen. The show explores the tragedy nobody cared about: her story, and whether the vengeance was truly hers. Running 30 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and above.
Why see this show?
A fierce, compact solo show that gives voice to one of mythology's most overlooked women. Clytemnestra's final defence is personal, political and genuinely moving — all in just 30 minutes.
