The Virtuous Burglar is a classic farce by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Dario Fo, presented by amateur company EGTG at The Hepburn Suite, Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A burglar interrupted mid-job is forced to hide inside a grandfather clock when the homeowner returns with his mistress. As an array of confused spouses and lovers arrive, the burglar — apparently the only one not having an affair — ends up pretending to have multiple wives. Full of mishaps, misunderstandings and mayhem. Running 60 minutes, suitable for ages 8 and over, tickets £15.
