The Red Room is a one-woman storytelling show by Free Roam Theatre at Clover Studio during Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. Based on the chilling words of HG Wells, the show asks: could you spend the night in the infamous haunted chamber of Lorraine Castle? Armed with a single torch, a sceptical narrator attempts to do just that, ignoring the warnings of its three eerie custodians — and soon learns why the room has such a dark reputation and the grim fates which befell previous occupants. Gripping and often darkly funny, the show runs 45 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
