The Poetry of Strangers is a one-hour, one-man show at The Speakeasy, part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. Poet Brian Sonia-Wallace has spent ten years interviewing strangers and writing them poems on a typewriter about their lives. In this show he asks: what is your dream? — combining clowning with sacred reading practices to explore dreams and desires: the ones found, shared, abandoned and rediscovered. Each performance creates a new poem, and the subject of that poem is the audience. Suitable for audiences aged 16 and over.
