About The Manchester Revue
The Manchester Revue returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a brand-new sketch show inspired by the real-life graffiti found scrawled in toilet cubicles across Manchester. These anonymous scribblings — vulnerable, radical, romantic or just rude — serve as the show's stimulus. Where people flush it out of their systems and move on, The Manchester Revue finds comedy in the words that remain. The show runs for 50 minutes and is strictly for audiences aged 18 and over.
Why see this show?
Toilet cubicle graffiti as comedy source material sounds unlikely, but the premise gives this sketch group a rich seam of raw, unfiltered human expression to mine. Dark, funny and very much not bog-standard.
