About Acting Coach Scotland
Acting Coach Scotland's student and youth company presents The Cyclops, a sharp, hilarious, and occasionally brutal drama set off the coast of Scotland. Six estranged young men reunite following a tragic event — once childhood friends, now adults hardened by society. Through patter, piss takes and a few dozen pints, guilt and grief slowly claw their way to the surface. Beneath the jokes lies a shared question no one wants to ask: how did they not see it coming? The show runs for 50 minutes and carries a content warning for mentions of suicide.
Why see this show?
A raw and honest portrait of male friendship under strain, The Cyclops uses humour to navigate grief in a way that feels genuinely true. If you've ever watched a group of lads dodge the thing that really needs saying, this one will land.
