The Caterpillar and the Blackbird is a 60-minute children's musical theatre show by NarraDance, a professional company, at the Grand Theatre. A restless caterpillar meets a rock and roll blackbird who guides her through the woodland, introducing her to a variety of creatures — a nervous fox, an eco-frog, a timid hedgehog, a diva cow, a wise old owl and a troupe of playful squirrels. Along the way she learns important life lessons, with the greatest being the value of true friendship. Suitable for ages 3 and over, with audience participation.
