Taking the Biscuit Back sees poetitian Lucy Aphramor return to Edinburgh with bittersweet perspectives on food and flourishing. Blending wordsmithery, trans joy, compassion and queer nutrition science, the show challenges simplistic messages around eating and fat shame. Aphramor explores how healthy eating messages dish up coloniality and offers an abolitionist take on public health, helping audiences metabolise shame and judgement.
