SWAN? is a 60-minute dark comedy clown show performed by Lauren Brady, at Iron Belly as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Described as the dark and ugly sister to the film Black Swan, it follows a chain-smoking, half-swan, half-ballerina who transforms the tragic story of Swan Lake into a raunchy rom com. The audience may be invited to play a part in her escape. The show is performed and created by Canadian performer Lauren Brady, directed by Nicole Maloney and coached by Karen Hines.
Why see this show?
A wildly physical, darkly comic reinvention of Swan Lake told through clown performance and audience interaction. Lauren Brady brings uncommon energy to the familiar story, making SWAN? a distinctive 60-minute Edinburgh Fringe experience for those aged 14 and over.
