About the show
Star-Crossed, or the Lavender Marriage is a cabaret revue created and performed by Ella Baldwin and Fernando Rivera, produced by Lumina Theatre Co. Set during a debaucherous semester abroad, it tells the tale of two young theatre makers with original songs, rat kings, tetanus and true love. A quasi-romantic comedy with all of the romance, none of the sex, and some of the slurs of its predecessors — the show promises audiences may laugh, cry, or have a coronary event. It runs for 40 minutes in The Snug and is suitable for ages 18 and above. Tickets are £2.50.
Why see this show?
A gleefully irreverent cabaret with original songs and a self-aware absurdism, Star-Crossed is an ideal pick for those who want comedy with a twist of genuine theatrical heart. At £2.50, the risk-to-reward ratio is hard to argue with.
