Standing in the Shadows of Giants is a 60-minute new writing LGBTQ+ theatre piece at Traverse 2, presented by Traverse Theatre and The Hale. Set in the early noughties, the show follows Lucie Barât, fresh out of drama school and auditioning for laxative ads and flipping burgers, while in the next room of their shared flat cult Indie band The Libertines rise to dizzying fame. As her brother's band skyrockets to stardom, Lucie dodges exes, sycophants, and unwanted advances, and is forced to question her failures — and her sexuality. Tickets from £20, ages 16 and over.
