Book of Shadowz presents Space Hippo at Big Belly — hilarious, weird, and epic science fiction from Japan, experienced through cinematic shadow puppetry. Earth is dying and nothing can be done; the only hope is to launch a hippo into space. Along the way she encounters new worlds, strange alien creatures, and ends up at the centre of an intergalactic war. The performers project over two hundred handmade puppets onto a large screen, creating a live analogue motion picture before the audience's eyes. Running 60 minutes, the show is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
