Soundscapes is a theatrical coming-of-age story from Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, performed at Auditorium during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It follows Iris, a young artist with synaesthesia who sees colours and shapes when music plays — without initially realising others do not. The show explores her struggle to downplay the way she experiences the world, and the moment a new friend sees the colours too. An ensemble chorus of colours brings Iris's experience of discovering her neurodivergence to life in this visually stunning story. The show runs for 75 minutes and is suitable for ages 12 and over.
