Award-winning comedian Sooz Kempner (Doom in Doctor Who's Doom's Day, Amazon Prime's Dinner With the Parents) is back with a brand new show about beauty, ageing, trolling and Barbra Streisand. When the world seems ugly it's hard to feel beautiful, not like when you're seven and Final Score is on and nothing has ever felt more beautiful because what follows is Big Break, the Generation Game, Noel's House Party and then either Only Fools and Horse or Birds of a Feather. How can WE find beauty in these very unattractive times? 'Brilliant' (LA Times). **** (Scotsman).

About the show

Sooz Kempner is Ugly is a stand-up and spoken word show from comedian Sooz Kempner, known for her role as Doom in Doctor Who's Doom's Day and from Amazon Prime's Dinner With the Parents. The show is about beauty, ageing, trolling and Barbra Streisand, asking how we find beauty in unattractive times. Kempner reflects on a childhood memory of television schedules — Final Score followed by Big Break, the Generation Game, Noel's House Party — as a touchstone for an uncomplicated sense of beauty.
