About the show
Shaper/Caper brings this dance and physical theatre show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A young man leaves his small hometown for the city, finding community and joy in the LGBTQ+ scene — until a terrifying health crisis, largely ignored by the government, forces a reckoning. Eight dancers bring the Paradise Nightclub to life alongside a community cast, deliberately blurring the line between performer and audience to capture the joy and chaos of the club scene. Running 90 minutes, the show contains strobe lighting and audience participation.
