From Wimbledon Music Hub comes this youthful double-focus show: a cappella and strings. You’ll hear pop, gospel-ballad, alternative rock songs from the 60s (California Dreamin’), the 80s (Hallelujah), through to the 00s (Scientist), 10s (Budapest) and 2020 World Soundtrack Award song, Stand Up. And from our string group: folk, classical, film music, jazz and popular music too, from Ashoken Farewell and Shostakovich Jazz Waltz to Pirates of the Caribbean, the theme from Up and of course Sing, Sing, Sing! All songs have been specially arranged for the group.

About Wimbledon Music Hub – Orchestral and A Cappella

Wimbledon Music Hub brings a youthful double-focus show combining a cappella singing with string playing. The vocal ensemble performs pop, gospel-ballad and alternative rock songs spanning several decades, including California Dreamin', Hallelujah, Scientist, Budapest and Stand Up — the 2020 World Soundtrack Award song. The string group contribute folk, classical, film music, jazz and popular pieces, from Shostakovich Jazz Waltz and Ashoken Farewell to Pirates of the Caribbean and the theme from Up. All songs have been specially arranged for the group. The show runs 50 minutes and is suitable for all ages.
