About Kirsty Law
Scotland Unsung is a 60-minute theatre, music and storytelling show by Kirsty Law at the Netherbow Theatre on the Royal Mile. It follows Scotia, a character travelling through time, place, class and gender — inspired by Virginia Woolf's Orlando — to challenge dominant narratives with tales of queer desire, women's rebellion and interrogation of supernatural myths. Folk traditions are used to tell difficult truths and explore radical ideas, resilience and transformation. Suitable for ages 12 and over. Tickets are £16 with a concession price of £14.
Why see this show?
A folk-rooted reclamation of Scotland's hidden stories told through one shape-shifting character, this is a thoughtful and genuinely unusual 60-minute show far removed from tourist-trap tartanry.
