Saint Dymphna's Ward is a new writing drama by Duck Pond Productions, performed at Pickle Studio. Two women — a century apart — find themselves in the same psychiatric institution. Justine struggles against Victorian-era expectations of femininity while imprisoned in Saint Dymphna's Asylum for the Insane. In the present, Margot grapples with her admission to Saint Dymphna's Center for Psychiatric Care and her own identity. The 50-minute show contrasts vastly different care experiences to reflect on how psychiatry and society's priorities have changed.
