The Scottish Young Religious Poets Competition Final takes place at Canongate Kirk as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, presented by Robert Crawford and Christine De Luca in conjunction with the Scottish Poetry Library. Competition winners are announced and invited to read their poems alongside two celebrated Scottish poets: Robert Crawford, author of the newly published Old World — his ninth collection of poems — and Christine De Luca, a Shetlander who served as Edinburgh's Makar (poet laureate) from 2014 to 2017. The event runs for 60 minutes and is suitable for ages 8 and above.
