About Pitchblenders
Pitchblenders is a live band bringing dirty blues and swing rooted in the era of joint-jumping, boisterous Harlem rent parties. Vocalist Christine Adams leads the group, joined by trumpeter Colin Steele, reedman Dick Lee, guitarist Phil Adams and bassist Jerry Forde. The show is an atmospheric, musically rich set that revels in the earthier side of blues and jazz tradition. Running for 60 minutes at Valvona and Crolla as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025, it is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
Why see this show?
Five accomplished musicians, a deep-rooted blues repertoire and a venue with real character — Bootleg Blues promises a live experience that channels the rowdy spirit of the Harlem rent party without any of the pretension.
