About Fuel
Nowhere – Here & Now Showcase is an intricate and playful solo show by actor and activist Khalid Abdalla, known for his roles in United 93, The Kite Runner, and The Crown. Inspired by his involvement in the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and the counter-revolution that followed, the piece weaves personal history against a cartography of seismic world events. Themes include colonialism and decolonisation, friendship and loss, protests and uprisings, and the violence in Gaza following the events of October 2023. Presented by Fuel at Traverse 1, it runs 90 minutes and is suitable for ages 14 and over.
