About Harley Walker
Not My Grandmother's Daughter is a solo puppetry theatre piece from professional company Harley Walker, performed at Eve as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show explores the relationship a young woman has with her mother through the relationship she has with her grandmother, interconnecting the history of their hands through generations with shadow and sound. After collecting her grandmother's stories, Harley Walker began to dream up a way to share her grandmother's life and to better understand her own maternal relationship. Through shadow puppetry, she found her grandmother's voice and her own. The show runs for 60 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
