Bullet Theatre and Hiley Productive present misSfits at Studio, a theatre show that introduces Miss Elliot — your favourite primary school teacher — who uses the learning objective of understanding the term baby gay. Incorporating real-life perspectives and voices from the queer community, the show focuses on the voices of the baby gays and how, after coming out, they must navigate a new community in which they still feel alien. Through the eyes of Miss Elliot and primary school nostalgia, past students find their true selves. The show runs for 45 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
Why see this show?
A queer coming-of-age show set in the familiar territory of a primary school classroom. Miss Elliot is an inventive frame for a story about finding community — gentle, nostalgic and genuinely warm.
