Middle Class Hero (WIP) is a stand-up comedy work-in-progress from Ian Murphy, performed at Just the Spare Room at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Ian charts his journey from working class Liverpudlian roots — through a stint as a professional footballer and a spell as a gameshow contestant on ITV's Red or Black — to finding himself in stand-up comedy. The show is about keeping his inner scouser under control and is, as Ian puts it, much cheaper than therapy. The show runs for 60 minutes. Tickets are £10. Age guidance is 18 and over.
