About the show
Jumper Bumps is a 60-minute debut play by Amelia Rodger, produced by Emma Ruse Productions, playing at the Ruby venue as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. It follows Eris and Atlanta, best friends with very different views on motherhood: Eris wants a baby and sees pregnancy as a chance to create a better version of herself, while Atlanta views it as the end of her freedom. Their friendship is stretched when Eris finds herself pregnant. The play explores a woman's right to choose, coercive relationships and female friendship. Tickets from £9, suitable for ages 14 and over. Contains distressing themes and strong language.
Why see this show?
A debut play that takes the charged subject of reproductive choice and coercive relationships and grounds it in the specific tension of a close female friendship. Sharp, emotionally honest, and written from lived experience — the kind of new writing the Fringe exists for.
