About the show
Jonny Woo in association with Soho Theatre presents his most personal show to date. A return to spoken word, storytelling and performance art, Suburbia is a poetic memoir tracing Woo's life from childhood in the Medway Towns through discovering ecstasy in the nineties, the clubs of New York and a queer community in London. Now in his fifties, Woo is reflective and honest about the secrets he harboured and the lessons he learnt. Sharp wit and a desire to shock and surprise are evident throughout. Runs 60 minutes at the Main Hall. Age guidance 18+. Contains audience participation, nudity, strobe lighting and strong language.
