About the show
It's Not Where You Start... is a deeply human spoken word piece by NLP Theatre Company, performed at Lomond at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show follows Scott, a man who grew up in and out of the care system and now finds himself as a foster carer, standing at the crossroads of past and future. As Scott welcomes foster children into his home, old wounds resurface and memories intertwine with the present. Woven animations, projected around him like a live comic book, bring Scott's inner world to life. Running for 60 minutes, the show is suitable for ages 8 and over.
