About the show
In His Own Image is a devised theatre production by Bottoms Up Theatre, performed at Theatre 2. Taking aim at masculinities past and present, the show asks what made a man 400 years ago and how he would survive Scottish society today. Based on director Ashley Brown's PhD research and the cast's own experiences, it puts Scottish masculinity under the spotlight through a host of historically-inspired and hopelessly-opinionated characters, exploring egos, conflicts and some truly questionable decisions. The show runs for 50 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 16 and over.
