I'm Ready to Talk Now is an experimental performance art and theatre piece by Oliver Ayres and SKINT in association with Quiet RIOT, presented at Traverse Foyer: Meeting Point, Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Set inside a hospital room, audiences experience the work one at a time, alone with the artist, as he tells the story of being diagnosed with a rare, severe and chronic immune condition in his very first year of starting testosterone. Using music, projection and physical theatre, the piece blurs the lines between audience and performer, theatre and installation art. Each performance can be spontaneously altered to offer relaxed performances, tactile tours, audio description and closed captions on demand. It runs for 45 minutes and tickets are £25 (£17.50 concession). Strictly for audiences aged 18 and over.
