I AM – A Walking Universe is a drama and performance art show by LULA.XYZ at Iron Belly, Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Part of the modular series I AM, the show enters the studio of LULA.XYZ where words come to life. As she attempts to pen the next chapter to her namesake character — the girl next door who just happens to be Eritrean/Ethiopian — life intervenes. Using wearable technology MiMu gloves, the show is a poetic reflection of overt medical racism happening now in the UK. Neither a musical nor drama, but a new kind of storytelling. It runs for 60 minutes, tickets start at £9, and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over.
