About the show
Raiser Theatre, a student and youth company, brings a stripped-back retelling of Shakespeare's Hamlet to Space 2 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A young cast of 10 actors uses chorus and high-energy staging to conjure the betrayal, obsession and revenge at the heart of the play. Tortured by conscience, the young prince of Denmark must face his father's murder and the treachery of those closest to him. Running for 65 minutes, the production is suitable for ages 12 and over and carries warnings for distressing themes and scenes of violence.
