About Joan of All Trades
Goodness Me is a one-woman-and-a-Furby dramedy by Joan of All Trades. Celeste is in her early thirties — lonely, broke and utterly lost — but when life starts unravelling in bizarre ways, she is forced to face her problems head-on. With only Lulu, a snarky yet oddly wise Furby, as her guide, she must navigate heartbreak, identity and the pressure to fix everything. Quirky, heartfelt and deeply relatable, this is a hilarious and poignant look at responsibility, resilience and the messy journey of adulthood. Running 65 minutes at The Snug, Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Why see this show?
A sharply written comedy drama that manages to be both funny and genuinely moving. The addition of a Furby as life coach sounds absurd — and it is — but it works beautifully in this warm and clever show.
