Gooder Than Gold is a world premiere live action memoir with music, written and performed by Tressa Preston, produced by Assertive Assets, at Bedlam Theatre during Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. After her father's death, Tressa — a daughter of Appalachia — hoots, hollers and figures things out in what she describes as not-exactly-a-memorial-service. The 60-minute show mixes singing, talking about angels, comedy and confession, while searching for what truth actually looks and feels like. Contains strong language and distressing themes.
