Book NowAbout the show
Kulturscio'k Live Art Collective presents Garden Party – Truman Capote's Black and White Celebration at the Annexe. This new work by the international live art collective is a mysterious investigation of the great American writer, inspired by his scandalous life and the Black and White ball he hosted at the Plaza Hotel. A provocative journey through success, sabotage, addiction and true crime, from Garden City to New York. With original music, the adaptation plunges the audience into a dangerous conflict where art and life are intertwined. Social hypocrisy, class power, gossip and murder are the guests of honour. Running 50 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and over.
Why see this show?
A visually bold, music-infused investigation of one of American literature's most contradictory figures. Kulturscio'k International Live Art Collective brings Capote's world of glamour and destruction to the stage with original music — theatre that does more than tell a story.
