Falling: A Disabled Love Story
Aaron Pang • Amateur Company
About Aaron Pang
Falling: A Disabled Love Story is a sixty-minute solo theatre show by Aaron Pang, directed by Connie Chen. Aaron walks with a cane, and everyone always wants to know what happened. He answers the question twice: first with the familiar story, then with one you've never heard before. After a spinal-cord injury, the show follows Aaron's journey to understand his new body through the uncertain world of first loves, online dating and sex. It untangles the stories we tell ourselves about our own bodies. Uncomfortably sexy and hilariously vulnerable, it is performed at Bunker Two for audiences aged sixteen and over.
Why see this show?
Honest, funny and genuinely vulnerable, Falling takes a subject that is rarely given this much warmth and wit on stage. Aaron Pang's stumble through love and disability is both personal and unexpectedly universal.
