About Tall History Tales
Everest Mallory 24 (With Stanley) is a comic storytelling show by Tall History Tales, performed at The Vault on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Based on the 1924 British Mount Everest expedition, the show follows Mallory on the SS California to India, by train to Darjeeling, and on ponies across Tibet. In tow is Stanley from Stockport, Manchester, who has barely been up Helvellyn in the Lake District. Once at Everest, they must tackle it with feet, ropes and possibly some oxygen — though Stanley, knowing his own limitations, absolutely does not make a summit attempt. Runs 60 minutes and is suitable for ages 14 and over.
