Einaudi's Piano by Candlelight – Spirited Away is a 60-minute classical music and storytelling performance by Moonlight, presented at St Vincent's. Pianist Matthew Shiel performs Ludovico Einaudi's contemplative piano pieces and Philip Glass's soundtrack to The Hours, woven together with Japanese Zen stories and digital animations designed by Shanghai artist and Disney illustrator Emma Yitong Shen. The show draws inspiration from Japanese anime Spirited Away and the wisdom and philosophy of Zen Buddhism to create what is described as a hypnotic and profound musical experience. Suitable for ages 8 and above, tickets are £19.50.
