Down to Chance is a new theatre show from Maybe You Like It, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Pleasance, performed at Beside during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Set in Anchorage, Alaska in 1964, the show is based on the true story of the Great Alaskan Earthquake — the largest earthquake in US history. A part-time radio reporter named Genie Chance, her teenage intern, a general on leave and a local hobbyist find themselves at the centre of a remarkable relief effort, broadcasting live to a listening world.
