Amelia and Bonnie are always together. They watch Snog Marry Avoid and Don’t Tell the Bride together. They wait for their parents together. Fifteen years later, Bonnie has a grown-up boyfriend, living in a grown-up flat in a grown-up city. After stumbling across Amelia’s instagram, Bonnie takes a chance... and invites her over for dinner. As childhood vignettes converge with the present, Bonnie is forced to confront Amelia in child and adult form. What happens when the most important person in the entire world becomes that old friend you think about from time to time?

Disco 2000 is a new writing drama by Hedge Maze Theatre, performed at Thistle Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Amelia and Bonnie were inseparable as children — watching Snog Marry Avoid and Don't Tell the Bride, waiting for their parents together. Fifteen years on, Bonnie has a grown-up life in a grown-up city, but after stumbling across Amelia's Instagram, she invites her over for dinner. Childhood vignettes converge with the present as Bonnie is forced to confront Amelia in both forms. 50 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and over.
