Del Valle is a true solo story written and performed by Ned Van Zandt. It tells of a drug-addled actor who finds himself locked up in Del Valle — a Texas state prison — where the Junior Grand Dragon of the Aryan Brotherhood recognises him from his television appearances and offers protection in exchange for acting lessons. Directed by Amir Arison, the show traces a journey of survival, sobriety, and the power of art through lived experience that, as Van Zandt puts it, you could not make up if you tried.
