About The Swells
Date, Desire, Divorce is a collection of four romantic tragi-comedies by Edinburgh writer Malcolm Windsor, performed by Diana Stewart and Damian Corcoran as a series of different older couples. Anne and John are celebrating their twenty-seventh wedding anniversary, though somehow the taxi driver and waiter are involved. Carol and Steve meet online for a first date — but are they compatible? Sue and Dave discuss what they might want to improve their marriage. And Sylvia, the moustache stalker, tracks down Martin forty years later. Fun, games, tragedy — life itself.
Why see this show?
Four sharp, compact stories about couples at different stages — anniversary, first date, negotiation, reunion — performed by two actors who shift roles throughout. Edinburgh's own Malcolm Windsor wrote it, which gives the whole thing a pleasantly local flavour.
