Dance Double Bill presents two contemporary dance works from Palestinian dancers and choreographers Amir Sabra and Nur Garabli, presented by Welcome to the Fringe at Town Hall during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The first piece, Within This Party, searches for the personal and the intimate within the collective, continuing Amir Sabra's exploration of familiar movements and gestures transformed into something individual and unique. The second, CHÈ: (Not) A Ballet, is a duet in which two female activists create a political ritual of reclamation, confront silence, reshape narrative and embody ancestral resistance. The show runs 60 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 16 and over.
Why see this show?
Two works, two distinct but connected perspectives from Palestine — one searching inward for the intimate, one outward for political reclamation. A rare and thoughtful pairing at the Fringe.
