Helena Academy of Drama and Expression present a vibrant adaptation of the classic Chinese tale of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. The story follows him from rebellious trickster to enlightened disciple, through a defiant stand against the heavens, battles with mythical foes and inner trials. The production brings the transformation to life through dynamic acrobatics, martial arts choreography and magical stagecraft, celebrating adventure, growth and self-discovery. It is performed at the Forest Theatre by a student and youth company and is suitable for children aged 5 and over.
