Chickadee is a surreal, soul-searching solo show about pop culture, performance, and the price of being seen. A female street clown accidentally becomes famous overnight as Chickadee the Sexy Clown. Her childlike mission to bring joy to a chaotic world is misunderstood, leaving her questioning her worth. Written, performed and produced by Feride Morçay, with direction and dramaturgy by Aishwarya Gaikwad, the show runs for 60 minutes at Studio and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over. It contains audience participation, strong language, and potentially triggering themes.
Why see this show?
A show that asks genuine questions about why anyone chooses to perform, and what happens when the world decides to look. Chickadee balances absurdist comedy with real emotional searching — a solo performance that dares to be vulnerable and strange in equal measure.
