About the show
Marshall Cordell and Trish Lyons present this solo show at the Front Room. Buzz is a raw, stand-up tragedy chronicling events in the life of Trish Lyons, an artist whose sense of self is shattered by tragic events. Through dark humour and poetic storytelling, Lyons shares her turbulent journey from living in fear to reclaiming her life. Her story unfolds through images as visions, fragments of memory and artworks, moving between past and present as she navigates the art of perception — of seeing and being seen, of disappearing and of witnessing. Part lecture, part confessional, part hymn to survival. Running 60 minutes, suitable for ages 14 and over.
Why see this show?
A solo show of real emotional depth and formal invention — Lyons uses the language of art and images to tell a story that resists easy narrative. Moving between lecture, confession and survival anthem, it is unlike most of what you will see at the Fringe.
