About the show
But We're Right is a 55-minute politically provocative two-hander by Bad Things Theatre, performed at The Sanctuary during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025. Set in contemporary Europe, it follows AJ and Beibhinn — two young women stuck in patriotic slogans and the fear of being left behind, ranting against foreigners. When Beibhinn loses everything and is forced to move town, both must reconsider what home means, what being right means, and how far they will go to keep things as they were. The show interrogates why more and more young Europeans vote right. Suitable for ages 16 and over; tickets £12 (concession £5).
Why see this show?
A timely two-hander that interrogates the appeal of the political right to young Europeans, told through two specific, believable characters rather than abstract argument. Serious new writing at The Sanctuary that earns its 55 minutes.
