Bluffstone is Starvin'
String Cheese Theatre • Amateur Company
About the show
String Cheese Theatre presents Bluffstone is Starvin', a black tragicomedy set in a dust-choked western settlement gripped by famine. Farmhand Isaiah hopes to win the hand of Clarence's daughter Dolly, but the arrival of drifters Noah and Durlin brings new competition and new mouths to feed. The story is brought to life with a live saloon band and original score. Expect love, betrayal and a bad pantomime horse costume. Performed at Space 2, 50 minutes, suitable for ages 16 and above. Contains distressing themes, scenes of violence and strong language.
Why see this show?
A live-music western tragicomedy with an original score and a genuinely absurd pantomime horse — String Cheese Theatre commit fully to the dust-and-drama premise while keeping things playful.
