About the show
Lovelock Productions present this experimental comic drama based on the true story of a woman shunned for her smallpox scars in the year 1746. Mary is desperately and dangerously single, facing pressure from her father and disdain from local suitors, when she meets the charming Will Cranstoun and falls for him. As the couple rush towards their vows, lies surface and the story darkens. Spanning sixty tense minutes, this is a historical dark comedy about a scarred woman and one of the most sensationalised murderers of eighteenth-century Britain. At Studio Four, age guidance 14 and over.
