Attuned Duo: When two sensitive players combine, they create a fine blend. A complimentary yet varied programme of brilliant and colourful duos for guitar and piano. Their programme reveals a hidden legacy of mainstream musical history. Music by Rudolph Straube-a student of J.S. Bach, Anton Diabelli, Mauro Giuliani-prominent Viennese composers/performers and the prolific 20th century composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco who dedicated much music to Andreas Segovia, including this composition. Wendy Leung, piano and Stephen Morrison, classical guitar: both live and teach in Edinburgh and their performance at this year's Festival marks their debut.

About Stephen Morrison - Guitar, Wendy Leung - Piano

Attuned Duo brings together Wendy Leung on piano and Stephen Morrison on classical guitar for a complementary programme of duos drawn from a hidden corner of mainstream musical history. The repertoire includes works by Rudolph Straube — a student of J.S. Bach — as well as Anton Diabelli, Mauro Giuliani, and the prolific twentieth century composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, who dedicated much of his music to Andreas Segovia. Both musicians live and teach in Edinburgh, and their appearance at this year's Festival marks their debut together. The show runs for 60 minutes at Church, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and is suitable for audiences aged 8 and over.

Why see this show?

A debut recital from two Edinburgh-based musicians whose programme uncovers lesser-known duets for guitar and piano. The repertoire spans centuries and includes a work dedicated to Segovia — intimate, varied and genuinely revealing.
